1. Who We Are

Amae Travel Designers is a boutique agency specializing in the design of bespoke luxury travel experiences.

Amae is a trade name of R GUERRERO VIAJES A MEDIDA SRL, located at Calle Central 20, Feria III, Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, registered under RNC 133-39172-4.

These Terms and Conditions (the “Terms”) govern the use of the website https://www.amaetraveldesigners.com and the contracting of our travel planning and management services.

By accessing the Site or making a reservation with us, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and fully accepted these Terms.

2. Scope of Service

Amae designs and coordinates personalized itineraries through independent third-party suppliers (airlines, hotels, local operators, transportation companies, insurance providers, among others).

Amae is not an airline, hotel, tour operator, or insurance provider, and acts solely as an intermediary between the traveler and the suppliers.

All services contracted with third parties are carried out at the client’s own responsibility and in accordance with the policies and conditions established by each supplier.

3. Quotes, Prices, and Payments

  • Quotes: Prices provided are estimates until confirmed and may vary depending on availability, exchange rates, taxes, fees, or supplier conditions.
  • Deposits: A non-refundable deposit of 30% of the total amount (or the percentage required by the supplier) is required to secure services. This deposit covers administrative and management costs.
  • Final Payment: The remaining balance must be paid no later than 30 days before the start of the trip. Failure to meet this deadline may be considered voluntary cancellation, subject to Section 4.
  • Currency and Fees: Payments may be made in U.S. dollars or Dominican pesos. Amae is not responsible for bank fees, transfer costs, or exchange rate differences.

4. Changes, Cancellations, and Refunds

All cancellations or modifications must be communicated in writing to: info@amaetraveldesigners.com

  • Cancellation more than 30 days in advance: Refund of payments made, minus the initial deposit and any non-recoverable third-party expenses.
  • Between 15 and 30 days before departure: 50% of the total trip cost will be retained.
  • Less than 15 days in advance: No refund will be issued.
  • Modifications: Any changes (dates, names, services) are subject to availability and the penalties or fees imposed by suppliers.
  • Force Majeure: In cases of natural disasters, war, health emergencies, or other circumstances beyond our control, Amae will negotiate the best possible conditions with suppliers (rescheduling, credits, changes). However, Amae is not obligated to issue refunds if suppliers do not authorize them.

5. Documents, Health, and Entry Requirements

Travelers are solely responsible for complying with entry, transit, and exit requirements for each destination: valid passport, visas, vaccination certificates, medical insurance, minor travel permissions, or any other required documents.

Amae is not responsible for denied boarding or entry resulting from incomplete or incorrect documentation.

6. Travel Insurance

Amae strongly recommends purchasing comprehensive travel insurance (medical, cancellation, baggage, liability, etc.).

Refusing to purchase insurance—whether expressly or implicitly—means the client assumes all associated risks, and Amae will be exempt from any liability.

7. Conduct and Responsible Travel

The client agrees to:

a) Comply with local laws and customs of the destinations visited.
b) Respect supplier rules.
c) Avoid dangerous or harmful behavior.
d) Immediately notify Amae of any serious incident.

Amae reserves the right to terminate services without refund if the client engages in behavior that endangers the safety or well-being of others.

8. Liability

  • Amae acts solely as an intermediary and is not responsible for acts, omissions, delays, or breaches by external suppliers.
  • To the extent permitted by law, Amae will not be liable for indirect, incidental, punitive, or consequential damages, including loss of profits, interruptions, or additional expenses caused by third parties.
  • When liability cannot be excluded, it will be limited to the amount of service fees received by Amae for the specific reservation giving rise to the claim.
  • The client agrees to indemnify Amae against third-party claims arising from their conduct or violation of these Terms.

9. Wedding Registry (Gift List)

Amae offers a voluntary contribution system allowing family and friends to fund experiences within the traveler’s itinerary.

  • Funds received will be applied according to the beneficiary’s instructions and supplier conditions.
  • Some services may be non-refundable.
  • In case of trip cancellation or modification, unused funds may be rescheduled or credited for future experiences within 12 months unless the supplier’s policies state otherwise.
  • Amae does not guarantee refunds for amounts paid toward non-refundable services.

10. Intellectual Property

All content on the Site (texts, logos, photographs, videos, design, and trademarks) belongs to Amae or is used under license.

Reproduction, distribution, or modification without prior written authorization is prohibited.

Unauthorized use constitutes a violation under Dominican Republic Copyright Law No. 65-00.

11. User Content and Testimonials

If you submit reviews, photographs, or testimonials, you grant Amae a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use such content for promotional purposes, including publication in digital or printed media.

Amae may edit or adapt the content while preserving its essence and meaning.

12. Privacy and Cookies

Amae protects personal data in accordance with Dominican Law No. 172-13 on Personal Data Protection and its regulations.

Data processing is detailed in our Privacy Policy and Cookies Policy, available on the Site.

By using the Site or contracting a service, you agree to such processing.

13. Communications

We may contact you by email, phone, or messaging regarding your itinerary, reminders, surveys, or promotions.

Notices sent to the registered email address will be considered duly delivered.

You may update your preferences or request unsubscribing at any time.

14. Accuracy and Availability

Amae makes reasonable efforts to ensure the accuracy of all published information. However, unintentional errors or availability changes may occur.

In the event of an obvious error in prices or descriptions, Amae reserves the right to cancel the reservation and refund the amounts paid, without additional liability.

15. Applicable Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Dominican Republic.

Any dispute or claim shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the ordinary courts of the National District, Santo Domingo, expressly waiving any other venue.

16. Changes to the Terms

Amae may update these Terms whenever deemed necessary.

The current version will be published on the Site with the applicable update date.

In case of substantial changes, active clients will be notified by email or a prominent notice on the Site.

Continued use of the Site or Services constitutes acceptance of such modifications.
